So I was bored and playing with some Steam API’s and an older project I had laying around that utilized voice control. So I put them together. It’s fun. This allows you to voice control Steam (and it’s pretty snazzy!) It IS super buggy (you can put in your community profile, like mine is “steamcommunity.com/id/FallenWyvern/” so I use ‘FallenWyvern’) or your UID (a 17 digit number that makes you unique on Steam) and if something inappropriate is put there then you’ll end up crashing out. Since putting anything in that box does nothing but count how many games you have, just leave that alone.
The best part of this is that it works in the background. So while you’re playing a game, say “toggle keyboard” and then you can just shout “screen” to take screenshots. Oh and a pre-requisite is the .net framework (probably 4.5, that’s what I targeted).
Please note Voice Chat is designed for Big Picture mode, although it will work for any application in focus.
Language pack (if you have issues, and you have .net 4.5 installed, try it) can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27224
